In May 2016 the Estate granted a new head lease to Almacantar over 5-9 Marble Arch (also known as Marble Arch Place), to facilitate the full redevelopment of the property.
Baker Street Two Way
The Portman Estate was a key advocate for the Baker Street Two Way scheme, designed to improve traffic flow, reduce congestion and enhance air quality in the area.

Regent House, 112–130 Edgware Road
Regent House is situated on the western boundary of the Estate, with frontage onto both the Edgware Road and George Street. In April 2013 the Estate Trustees approved the acquisition of the headlease for the property, securing control of what is a key island site and helping us to meet one of our key strategic objectives of investing in and securing the future of Edgware Road.

1 – 9 Seymour Street
The landmark redevelopment of a former police station at 1–9 Seymour Street was completed in 2018 and was the Estate’s first major in-house development. Designed by Eric Parry, it comprises 24 residential units providing a mixture of one, two and three bedroom apartments along with 32,000 sq. ft of grade A offices, 4,000 sq. ft of restaurant space and an 18,500 sq. ft, self-contained educational unit.
