The Estate’s stewardship is enhanced by the activities of three Business Improvement Districts: Marble Arch London, Baker Street Quarter Partnership and New West End Company.

Business Improvement Districts (BIDs) are a not-for-profit company funded and directed by local businesses for the benefit of the broader community.

The three local BIDs serve as key collaborators, often working with us to enhance and manage the area. Centred around our core commercial districts of Edgware Road, Baker Street and Oxford Street we are involved in the activities of each BID, directing resources through them when they are best placed to achieve a particular objective.

Although the three districts have differing requirements, they are also exposed to similar disruptions and all have a strong track record of tackling these issues. They deliver services to improve the operating environment and help promote and deliver a range of programmes and campaigns to support local businesses and organisations.

The BIDs provide complementary skills that supplement our more traditional estate role. They are mandated by virtue of their business memberships and through their partnership and collaborative approach, they can support and deliver placemaking projects that align with our ambitions.
