The scheme, designed by Uruguayan architect Rafael Viñoly and totalling 275,000 sq. ft, is retail-led at the ground and first-floor levels and features a public walkway running through the centre of the site, as well as public artwork created by artist Lee Simmons.
Above the retail space are seven floors of offices on the Marble Arch frontage and an 18-storey residential tower facing Bryanston Street and Edgware Road. The Odeon cinema is being relocated to basement and sub-basement levels and raised in quality.
Completed in Autumn 2021, the scheme helps to reposition the western end of Oxford Street and Edgware Road. The Estate has taken direct control of a ground floor retail unit on the Marble Arch frontage, occupied by Sainsbury’s and the first-floor restaurant which overlooks Hyde Park.
In October 2019, Almacantar announced it had pre-let the office accommodation at 5 Marble Arch to Bridgepoint Advisers Ltd.
