This autumn, The Portman Estate is unveiling three significant new arrivals on Chiltern Street, advancing its long-term vision for the street as a hub for slow luxury and independent craftsmanship, while strengthening its appeal as one of London’s leading destinations for founder-led fashion, lifestyle, gifting and hospitality brands.

Loeffler Randall is now open at 44 Chiltern Street, marking the New York-based fashion brand’s first European flagship store.  Founded by Jessie Randall in 2004, Loeffler Randall is renowned for its distinctive footwear, handbags and ready-to-wear collections, which have earned a loyal international following. Extending to 750 sq ft, the Marylebone store reflects the brand’s small-format retail concept, with a focus on footwear complemented by a fast-growing ready-to-wear collection available exclusively through its standalone stores. By selecting Chiltern Street for its UK debut, Loeffler Randall joins a carefully curated collection of premium independent fashion brands, reinforcing Portman Marylebone’s position as one of London’s leading destinations for luxury and contemporary retail.

This November, Commune will make its London debut with a 700 sq ft flagship store at 37 Chiltern Street. Founded in Somerset by Kate Neal and Rémi Paringaux, Commune is inspired by the region’s natural landscape, craftsmanship and slower pace of rural life. The new store will bring an experiential retail offering to central London, including Slow Scent Classes, immersive workshops that explore fragrance through ingredients, memory and storytelling. With its focus on natural ingredients and sustainable packaging, the brand aligns closely with The Portman Estate’s values and commitment as a B Corp certified business.

Also in November COMPLETEDWORKS will launch a 1,500 sq ft double-fronted flagship storeat 23-25 Chiltern Street. Founded in London in 2013 by the Jewsbury siblings and led creatively by Anna Jewsbury, the British luxury design brand will establish its first standalone retail presence in the neighbourhood where the business was born. The new flagship will showcase the full COMPLETEDWORKS collection across jewellery, accessories, homeware and collectible design, alongside a programme of talks, workshops, exhibitions, artist residencies and exclusive product launches. Internationally recognised for its sculptural aesthetic and commitment to sustainability, COMPLETEDWORKS s is stocked by leading retailers including Harrods, Selfridges and Dover Street Market. The upcoming Chiltern Street opening further demonstrates the location’s appeal to globally recognised and founder-led British brands.

Tom Knight, Portfolio Director at The Portman Estate, comments: “The Portman Estate’s continued ambition is to cultivate a street that embodies slow luxury, celebrates independent craftsmanship, and offers a distinctive sense of place. Our ambition for Chiltern Street has always been to cultivate a destination that champions independent brands, celebrates craftsmanship and offers a distinctive sense of place. These latest signings reflect that vision and further strengthen the street’s position as one of London’s most compelling retail and lifestyle destinations.”

Puja Dowlani, Retail Associate Director at The Portman Estate, adds: “Chiltern Street’s success is built on bringing together an exceptional collection of like-minded brands that each contribute to the character and identity of the street while offering a unique point of view. We are proud to support these exceptional brands as they launch their first standalone retail spaces or enter the market for the first time. The result is a destination rooted in discovery, with enduring appeal for discerning customers.”

Jessie Randall, Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer of Loeffler Randall, says: ˝Having received countless messages from people asking where they can find Loeffler Randall in the UK, I’m very excited to finally have a physical space to offer the full brand experience in London. We’ve been looking for the perfect spot for years and when this space on Chiltern Street became available, it just felt right. It’s cozy and on a street filled with like minded-brands with distinct points of view.
