At The Portman Estate, we are guided by our commitment to people, places and the planet. In 2022 we became the first London Estate to achieve B Corp certification, joining a global community of businesses using their influence to make a positive difference. Today we’re proud to share that we have been successfully re-certified as a B Corp.
B Corp represents high standards of social and environmental performance. Our latest assessment gives us an improved score of 87.8, reflecting our ongoing work to support a thriving, sustainable community in Marylebone, Marble Arch and Edgware Road. Our people are extremely important to us and we are committed to being a great place to work. B Corp recognises our focus on employee wellbeing, career development and creating an inclusive workplace.
Over the past three years we have advanced our sustainability action plan, launched our Supplier Charter and continued our pledge to reduce our environmental impact. In April 2025, the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) validated our climate targets and commitment to net zero carbon across all scopes by 2045.
Every improvement we make is driven by our responsibility as long-term custodians of this unique part of London. B Corp recertification reinforces our belief that successful places are built through collaboration, care and transparency.
We are proud to continue our B Corp journey and to help shape a more sustainable, resilient and connected Estate for generations to come.
