The Estate’s Sustainability Committee was established from key team members across the organisation. The role of the Committee is to:

  • consider the sustainability impacts of The Portman Estate’s business activities including social, environmental and ethical governance impacts,
  • identify the long-term sustainability vision for the business and develop a strategy to support the business in achieving this, and,
  • be sustainability champions and increase awareness and drive change across the business to support the strategy and vision.    

The Committee has delivered a holistic sustainability strategy, set ambitious net-zero carbon targets and overseen the B Corp certification process.
