The three-year charity partnership will see The Portman Estate raise funding and awareness for Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity.
The Portman Estate has today announced a new corporate charity partnership with Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity. The charity was selected following a vote by the Estate’s employees who will raise funding and awareness for the charity throughout the course of the three-year partnership.
Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity provides specialist nurses and support for seriously ill children across the UK, as well as financial and emotional support services for families under the care of a Roald Dahl Nurse. There are currently over 120 Roald Dahl Nurses caring for more than 33,000 children living with complex, lifelong conditions. But there are thousands more of these children across the UK not currently receiving this specialist care.
Last year, Roald Dahl Nurses provided over 170,000 hours of specialist holistic care for young patients and families. The work of these nurses goes beyond traditional care: they are trained and dedicated clinical experts who advise, reassure, and become an extended part of the family. Each Roald Dahl Nurse is a vital lifeline for seriously ill children and their families.
Under the charity partnership, The Portman Estate will aim to grow even more awareness for Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity, to help them care for more seriously ill children. The Estate will fundraise in a variety of ways including sponsored walks, sporting challenges and bake sales, with official planned corporate fundraising activity to be announced later this year.

Over the last three years, the Estate partnered City Harvest, raising over £30,000 to tackle food waste and hunger by providing food for Londoners who need it most. City Harvest is a crucial charity for London, focused on rescuing food, people and the planet.
