The Portman Estate has announced today the appointment of Emma Huepfl as a Non-Executive Director. Emma is an experienced leader with a 30-year career in the real estate debt markets. She currently chairs the Bank of England’s Commercial Property Forum, which meets quarterly with the Financial Stability team to give a nuanced view of the real estate sector and is a Senior Adviser to Redevco’s Real Estate Debt Platform, a Non-Executive Director of April Mortgages Ltd, and a Senior Adviser to CREFi, a platform providing data and analytics on European commercial real estate debt.
Earlier in her career, Emma co-founded and managed two real estate lending businesses, each spanning a decade, which generated >£10bn of lending before Laxfield Capital was acquired by CBRE Investment Management, where she subsequently served as co-head of EMEA Credit until 2023. Her industry service also includes ten years on the Board of CREFC, the trade body for the real estate finance industry, which she chaired from 2019-2021.
