Breaking news from the B Corp movement…there are now 1,000 UK B Corps and The Portman Estate is proud to be one of them!
When a business becomes a B Corp, as a collective we get bigger, better, bolder and more impactful. Every new addition is further proof that businesses thrive when they act for people and the planet. The first #1000xUKBCorps have brought us a thousand times closer to achieving our vision of creating an inclusive, equitable and regenerative economy. Together, we’re #1000xBetter, and we’re just getting started.
The UK B Corp movement has over 50,000 employees in over 58 industries. We can create much greater impact together, than we can alone — we must use our collective power to create the world we want to see, at the urgent speed required in order to meet the challenges of climate and social breakdown.
As the first Estate to become B Corp certified, we are proud to be leading the way for London’s great estates. B Corp represents the next chapter for socially responsible businesses and achieving certification underlines so much of what we stand for and do as an organisation. People are at the heart of The Portman Estate, so it is fundamental that we provide our employees with an environment to grow both professionally and personally. We plan to use this achievement to demonstrate how property owners can work collaboratively to benefit all of our customers, employees, partners and the local community, including our charity partner City Harvest.
